State Energy Sector Partnership and Training Grants Program (SESP), Energy Efficiency Collaborative Network Project
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), Office of Employment and Training, administers the State of Illinois Energy Sector Partnership and Training Grants Program (SESP).   The program's goals are to develop an energy sector strategy for training workers in energy efficiency and renewable energy industries, and to propose training activities that lead to employment in targeted industry sectors In support of those goals, DCEO is issuing this Request for Application.
 

DCEO is seeking a Manager for the SESP Energy Efficiency Project Collaborative Network that will work with the five local projects funded which focus on the development of a trained and certified workforce to undertake project development & auditing, construction & retrofitting, and basic weatherization.  The Collaborative Network manager would help them share lessons, collaboratively develop ideas, relationships, and curricula, and problem solve – as well as build professional relationships to last beyond the life of the grants.

Selection of the entity to manage this collaboration will be based on multiple factors including: 1) organizations background and knowledge in the energy efficiency field,  2) past experience in convening and managing multiple partners for a common task, 3) effective facilitation skills , 4) strong analytical skills 5) expertise in using electronic and online tools for convening meetings and capturing information 6) familiarization with curriculum development 6) proven writing skills and ability to compile information into a concise report that will provide DCEO with necessary information to replicate in future energy efficiency projects.
