ILLINOIS STUDENTS REDUCE AIR POLLUTION THROUGH LIGHTS FOR LEARNING. In the 2006-07 school year, twenty-two Illinois schools sold 6,597 CFLs and holiday strands through Lights for Learning fundraisers. The CFLs sold through the 2006-07 fundraisers equate to a lifecycle air pollution reduction the equivalent of eliminating 316 cars annually from the road!
